Experimental alt-pop project Getaway Stranger was originally a graphic design project started in early 2023 by at the time nineteen-year-old Calvin Squire. As an attempt to break free from feelings of isolation and personal struggles, he began to share his story starting with his 'Solstice' EP released in early 2024. Though common themes of heartbreak, loneliness, and trauma are often discussed, an optimistic undertone is still found within the music. The music has reached thousands across multiple platforms as Calvin continues his mission to help those who feel invisible be seen and heard.
